For weeks there was speculation that Phil Kessel was going to be signing in Edmonton to play with Connor McDavid, then it changed to going to another team in Alberta, the Calgary Flames.
Well, Kessel decided last night which team he wanted to continue his NHL career with, and it ended up being neither Canadian team.
The Vegas Golden Knights announced that they signed the former Stanley Cup Champion to a 1 year deal worth $1,500,000.
Phil Kessel is currently chasing Keith Yandle's Ironman record and should pass it quickly in this season if the Vegas Golden Knights actually play him.
The former champion spent the last few years in Arizona where he somewhat became forgotten about in the NHL, so it will be fun to see Kessel step back into the spotlight in Vegas.
