Marchessault Opens Up About Kessel's Speech Before Game Five
Jonathan Marchessault, who won the Conn Smythe Trophy, was invited to Paul Bisonnette's podcast, Spittin' Chicklets. During the interview, the Quebecer talked about playing with Phil Kessel and what he brings to the locker room.
Here's what he said:
"He's a character. Like the way he speaks, the way he says things. He comes in before Game 5... and he's like, 'if you guys f*cking lose this game and I have to f*cking fly to Florida and back, I'll be pissed."
Nothing's better than threats to motivate the team!
Of course, he wasn't serious, he just wanted to help his teammates outside the ice, since he couldn't do it on it.
