With Kane making major progression in his recovery from hip surgery, all focus now shifts on where the former Blackhawk will sign for the season.
There has been two teams north of the border that would make sense for Kaner as he wants to go for another Stanley Cup.
Team 1: The Toronto Maple Leafs
The first team on the list is the Maple Leafs, at the start of the summer the Leafs looked like a really viable option for Kane. A team that is stacked with talent, will most likely be a favorite to win the Stanley Cup next season.
However with Brad Treliving now at helm for the Leafs, he went a different route, making the Leafs a tougher and bigger team.
Although a combination of Matthews and Kane would be incredibly fun for any NHL fan to watch, however it will likely never happen.
Team 2: The Edmonton Oilers
The second team is the Edmonton Oilers, now the Oilers are also tight on cap space so a deal like
Connor Brown would have to be done in order to bring
Patrick Kane to Edmonton.
In case you did not know Connor Brown's cap hit is only $775k yet he has the ability to make up to $4 million due to performance bonuses, which the team does not have to pay out until the player reaches the goals.
Bringing in Patrick Kane would give an already deadly powerplay just that much more deadly.
That aforementioned powerplay lead the league last season as the Oilers offence exploded last season, they even lead the league in goals.
