Buckle up folks, because we've got quite the story for you. A new report out of London, Ontario reveals that a junior hockey owner has been doing unspeakable things.
Nationals Owner Suspended For Placing Bounty on Player
According to the London Free Press, Paul Duarte, the owner of the London Nationals of the GOJHL, has been suspended for two years by the Ontario Hockey Federation for placing a bounty on an opposing team's player.
Yeah, truly crazy stuff.
Back in 2021, Duarte offered a player on the Nationals $100 to intentionally injure a member of the Komoka Kings. Following an investigation by the OHF, Duarte has been suspended from his role with the team.
Outrage Over Duarte
Fans weren't shy about their disapproval of Duarte's actions, and let it be known on social media.
It's safe to say Duarte won't have too many friends once it's all said and done. Hopefully, this won't affect the young men who play for the Nationals.
