First thing first, it's about time!
According to Elliotte Friedman the NHL and NHLPA have finally come to an agreement to treat COVID as if it's not going anywhere.
"Hearing NHL/NHLPA agreeing on no longer testing asymptomatic players and staff after All-Star. At that point, testing only required for cross-border travel and if a person develops symptoms."
The NHL is the final major professional league to admit that their testing policies were outdated and don't align with the current state of COVID. This change will go into effect after the All-Star game and will assist the league in ensuring that they are able to complete an 82 game season.
Now if only Canada would allow fans back into arenas.
