NHL Insider Leaks Patrick Kane's Preferred New Team

On the Jeff Marek Show today NHL insider Elliotte Friedman joined Marek to talk about various NHL topics. One they spent a good amount of time on was free agent Patrick Kane. Friedman speculated on the options and dropped a piece of information on Kane's preference.

According to Friedman Kane would love the opportunity to go play in Dallas with the Stars.

Dallas has been on the shortlist of every report in recent weeks. Although this is the first time we are hearing that Kane is the one interested in them. To this point the Florida Panthers had been the favorite in recent weeks. With Kane wanting to go to Dallas the question is does Dallas want Kane?

After hearing this information from Friedman during the segment Jeff Marek responded. He did not seem so confident that the Stars would be interested in Kane. The Stars have had bad experiences with players returning from similar injuries and Marek believes this could scare them off.

If the Stars can overcome their apprehension about the injury return of Kane watch for them to be a favorite up until the end of the process. If they truly are out due to this Kane will have to find a new favorite to call home this season.
