Matvei Michkov Hit With Even More Bad News
In the last few minutes, some news concerning Matvei Michkov was released, and it took many fans by surprise.
Other Bad News for Michkov
The Flyers' 7th overall pick at the 2023 NHL draft might not start the season with the pros.
Indeed, it's been reported that he might start in the MHL, Russia's major junior league.
"Don't be surprised if #FueledByPhilly Matvei Michkov starts the season in the #MHL.
SKA is DEEP now (well, always have been). #KHL"
A Surprising Move
It would be a really surprising thing to see.
Michkov's talent is significant, and he's only going to get better. He's poised for a great future as a hockey player.
Even if SKA has a lot of talent on their roster, putting Michkov with kids isn't the smart move here.
We'll need to wait until 2026 to see Michkov in the NHL, possibly joining a completely rebuilt team in Philadelphia.
