Washington Capitals' captain, Alex Ovechkin, is rightfully enjoying the final moments of his off-season after a strong 75 point campaign where the 37 year old scored 42 goals. Although he may not be as youthful and exuberant as he once was, Ovi still has some moves as proven below

Recently, a video has surfaced on social media showcasing the hockey superstar's lively dance to Ricky Martin's "Livin' La Vida Loca" during a family gathering in Russia.

In the video, Ovechkin stands before an audience seated at separate tables, playfully mimicking dance moves displayed on what seems to be a screen or interactive game like "Just Dance". He's engaged in a friendly competition with another participant upfront, and he even incorporates his own unique twerking style, which obviously ignites the crowd's excitement. Notably amused by her husband's antics, Nastasiya Ovechkina, his wife, is unable to contain her laughter.

As seen in the video, Ovechkin seems to be in high spirits and great shape for the upcoming season. He's a force of nature that just continues to put up stellar point totals every season, even as he nears 40 years old.

As you may already know, Ovi is currently in a race to surpass Wayne Gretzky's all-time goal scoring record in the NHL. Ovechkin currently sits at 822 goals in 1,347 games played. Gretzky's record is 894 goals leaving just 72 goals between him and Ovechkin.

Realistically, it may only take two more seasons before we see Ovechkin crowned the greatest goal scorer of all time
