BREAKING: Toronto Steals A 1st Round Pick From Rival Team
Toronto has stolen a first-round pick from a conference rival fueling their rivalry.
It was just announced that the Toronto Marlies have signed former first-round pick, Jay O'Brien, to a one-year deal.
News | We've signed forward Jay O'Brien to a one-year AHL contract.
O'Brien was originally selected by the Philadelphia Flyers in the 1st round of the 2018 draft. He never signed a contract with the Flyers and had his rights expire earlier this offseason.
O'Brien is coming off a 32-point campaign as a senior with the Boston University Bulldogs. He will now look to prove himself with the Marlies in hopes of earning an NHL contract with any team.
