The President Trophy winning Florida Panthers were back at home for game two looking to tie this series up after Alex Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals surprised the Panthers beating the Panthers 4--2 in game one. The Washington Capitals knew the Panthers whre going to bring it and boy did they ever.
The Panthers would take advantage of Capitals tough guy Tom Wilson out of the lineup and we're punishing the Capitals with some pretty big hits. Especially Panthers forward Patric Hornqvist who would lay a couple big hits on TJ Oshie and John Carlson, but late in the 2nd Period Patric Hornqvist would absolutely nun over Capitals Marcus Johansson with a devastating body checks that had Johansson struggling to get back to his bench. If that wasn't enough Patric Hornqvist would add insult to injury, trash talking the entire Capitals bench after.
The Panthers would take this one 5-1 the series will now head to Washington all tied up.
