Dylan Larkin trade hits major snag as two teams off his list reportedly have the best offers

Dylan Larkin is suspended and sitting out until a trade, and Red Wings GM Shawn Horcoff says a deal with teams on his list is difficult.
The Dylan Larkin situation in Detroit just took a major turn, ending a standoff that has dragged on since June.
The 30-year-old center has been suspended without pay after his camp told the Red Wings he no longer wants to be part of the team, and he won't play again until he's traded.
Interim general manager Shawn Horcoff didn't pretend this is simple.
He gave Larkin credit for working hard through 12 years in Detroit, but he also said he can't put a timeline on how long this lasts.
The bigger problem is that moving Larkin to the teams on his list is difficult.
"I got to give Dylan a lot of credit. He went out and played hard for us. Dylan's been here for 12 years. In terms of sitting out, I can't put a timeline on it. With the teams on his list a trade is difficult."

Why a deal is so hard
Larkin has a full no-trade clause and a contract that runs through 2031 with an $8.7 million cap hit.
Detroit wants a real return in any deal, and fitting that salary onto a contender while sending the right pieces back is no easy job.
He recently expanded his list from three teams to 10, yet Montreal and Boston still aren't on it.
That hasn't stopped the chatter. One report claims those two clubs have the best offers on the table right now.
What happens next
ESPN reported that Larkin isn't looking for a trade to a Canadian team, which would complicate things for the Canadiens.
Horcoff says talks are ongoing with teams on the list and others, so the Red Wings are clearly listening.
For now, Detroit looks willing to wait, and nobody should expect a quick fix.
Larkin loses roughly $41,000 per day while suspended, so the pressure runs both ways, and the longer this drags on, the more likely his camp considers adding more teams.
