Get your kleenex ready, the Anaheim Ducks were in Tampa Bay tonight to face off against the two time defending Stanley cup champions.
What made this one special is that this would be the last time you will ever see Ryan Getzlaf face-off against his brother Corey Perry. These two had an instant bond from the moment they met each other. They were both a huge part of the Anaheim Ducks 2007 Stanley Cup.
After salary cap issues, and being bought out by Anaheim, Perry ended up signing as a free agent with the Dallas Stars then helped lead the Canadiens to the Stanley cup final before signing with the team that beat the Habs for the Cup Tampa Bay Lightning.
To start the evening off, Lightning centerman Pierre-Edouard Bellemare stepped aside and let winger Perry take the opening faceoff against his old buddy.
However things really got emotional after the game when the Tampa Bay Lightning players showed the ultimate sign of respect to Ryan Getzlaf. Then Perry and Getzlaf would hug at center ice. What a moment for these two warriors. They don't make players like these two in the NHL anymore.
I'm not crying your crying.
