Michael Ryder was a 8th round pick in the 1998 NHL entry draft to the Montreal Canadiens. Before retirement in 2015, Ryder played on 4 different NHL teams (Montreal Canadiens, Boston Bruins, Dallas Stars & New Jersey Devils), where he totalled 237 goals 484 points in 806 games.
He was a member of the 2010-11 Boston Bruins who won the cup, where he played a key role scoring 17 points in 25 playoff games.
Ryder was called into last this past Friday to answer for two impaired driving-related offences.
Court documents indicate Ryder, a Bonavista native, is charged with impaired driving and driving with a blood-alcohol level over the legal limit in Mount Pearl on Feb. 12th. From Saltwire.com
