Jack Campbell NOT on Team USA's Radar
Jack Campbell is having an outstanding season, easily the best of his entire career and just at the right time. With Team USA scheduled to go to the Olympics many mock rosters saw Jack Campbell slated in goal, on the bench or as the 3rd string goalie.
But today Frank Servalli said the following on Wednesday's edition of The Daily Faceoff Show:
"That's the nugget right there. Jack Campbell isn't on Team USA's long list.
That's caught some people by surprise. You look at how the season has unfolded and how well Jack Campbell has played for the Leafs, you look at some of these projected rosters out there, and I've seen his name on a lot of them.
But, to my knowledge, Jack Campbell is not on that list, and therefore won't be eligible to play for Team USA at the Olympics, if, of course, NHL players ultimately end up going.
So there it is Leafs' fans Jack Campbell won't be making the trip to Beijing should NHL players attend which might not be a bad thing given the additional rest this will provide him.
