On Tuesday Maple Leafs coach Sheldon Keefe confirmed the worst that Jake Muzzin would miss an extended period of time. After a collision with Habs defenceman Chris Wideman during Monday nights game, he was diagnosed with a concussion.
So with Muzzin on LTIR, it will be interesting to see what Leafs GM Kyle Dubas does with his free cap space. Elliotte Friedman seems to have a pretty good idea what Kyle is thinking.
Miller has another year remaining after this season on a very team friendly $5,250,000 AAV contract, so he would be more than just a mere rental player for the Leafs.
At the age 28, Miller is in his prime, and he is known for making the teams and players around him better. He is currently the only player on the Vancouver Canucks who is above point-per-game and leads the team by 14 points over the second best point producer.
How do you think Miller would look in a Leafs sweater suiting up next to
Auston Matthews?
