The playoff runs of the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Carolina Hurricanes ended sooner than they wanted. They were both eliminated in the second and third rounds, both at the hands of the Florida Panthers.

It seems that they are destined to make some moves together in the off-season. At least, that's what Howard Berger reported on Twitter.

Rumors are circulating about the Leafs' "Core Four," even after Shanahan announced that they were safe. However, we never know what will happen when a new GM comes in.
