The Leafs starting goalie from this past season, Ilya Samsonov filed for arbitration this off season. <h2>Samsonov's Fate</h2> According to Frank Seravalli the Leafs and Samsonov are not that far off in terms of a new contract. <div align='center'><blockquote class='twitter-tweet' data-lang='en'><a href='https://twitter.com/josephdzita/status/1678537194514923523?s=46'> </a></blockquote></div> It was reported that they 26-year-old goalie was asking for $4-$5 million in salary and the Leafs were not willing to pay that for him. It was announced Monday that Samsonov's arbitration date is set for July 21st. <h2>Samsonov-Woll Tandem</h2> It looks like it will be an Ilya Samsonov and Joseph Woll tandem for the upcoming season for the Maple Leafs. Samsonov is coming off a bounce back year with the Leafs as he posted a winning record and a save percentage of 0.919%.
