The New Jersey Devils and New York Rangers will meet in a blockbuster showdown on Saturday for the first time in 2023-24, and now one Rangers star has throw gas on the fire.
Shesterkin takes a savage shot at the rival Devils
During their playoff matchup a season ago, the Devils came out on top in dominant fashion, but ultimately, they weren't able to push on and make a genuine run at the Stanley Cup.
Now, ahead of their blockbuster clash at the Prudential Center,
Igor Shesterkin has roasted the Devils for their lack of success a season ago.
Did they win the Stanley Cup? Then it doesn't matter
A potential rematch awaiting in 2023-24?
Both of these teams only got better over the summer, and while the Rangers have had a much better start this season, these teams are expected to once again go deep in the playoffs this year.
If that happens, it's inevitable that we see another rematch, and with Hughes, Shesterkin, Panarin, Toffoli, Bratt, Zibanejad, Fox and so many other superstars, it should be one that every NHL fan is tuning in too.
