Huge Trade Scenario Sends Perfect Wigner to Play with Sidney Crosby
If the Penguins want to win another Stanley Cup with Crosby, Malkin, and Letang, they'll have to get it done sooner rather than later. If Kyle Dubas wants to achieve it, he'll have to help his players.
Giving Crosby the Help He Needs
Last year, the Pens missed the playoffs for the first time in 16 years. Crosby probably said that to his teammates when they were eliminated: "It won't happen again." Crosby, Malkin, and Letang won't let it happen again. But they're going to need some help.
A trade scenario has been released that could bring Crosby a perfect linemate.
Trade Incoming Between Rivals?
The Flyers' top winger, Travis Konecny, has been targeted as the perfect winger for Crosby. He has the talent, speed, and aggressiveness needed to succeed in Pittsburgh.
Of course, getting him won't be cheap. The Pens would have to send significant assets like Samuel Poulin, along with veterans Mikael Granlund and Jan Rutta, as well as a first-round pick.
However, to acquire Konecny, it's not unreasonable. Last year, he had a great season, tallying 61 points in 60 games. He could have an even bigger impact if he played with Crosby, obviously.
