Flyers Ivan Fedotov sends a message to fans from Russian military base

It's been a few weeks since it occurred but incase some forget, Flyers prospect Ivan Fedotov signed his NHL contract and then was sent to a Russian military camp. But first he was arrested, poisoned and put in the hospital where he had 24/7 police supervision so he could not escape.

Then after this, everything went silent. Fans were unsure where Fedotov was, was he safe, would he ever play hockey again, etcc.. Well, we have finally heard from Fedotov in a message he sent to his fans.
"At a difficult time for us, we - the family and loved ones - can't help but notice how a huge number of concerned people around the world are responding to Ivan's story," said his wife Nadezhda Fedotova in a social media post. "At Ivan's request, we want to pass on his words of gratitude.

I would like to thank all of my fans at this difficult time for their support and comments on media publications," said Fedotov through his wife. "Guys, thank you for not ignoring my situation! Thank you to everyone who leaves a mark in my life story with their voice and participation. Thank you to the professional community for your perspective, whatever it may be. I know I hear your voices, and it gives me strength and strengthens my faith in the best outcome of my situation."

According to Fedotov's lawyer, Fedotov is at a military base in the Arkhangelsk region of Russia which lies in the Arctic circle.
Fedotov was arrested after being accused of having falsified military documents after a former police officer was caught and had messages from several people in his phone.
