Connor McDavid Makes Major Demand of His Team Ahead of the Season
Year after year, the Edmonton Oilers come up short during the playoffs. It seems like they have what it takes to reach the Finals, but something always stands in their way.
In order to be better prepared for the upcoming season, the captain, Connor McDavid, had a special request for his teammates.
McDavid's Request
Every year, the Oilers and McDavid hold "Captain's Skates," where the team reunites a few weeks before the official training camp to get a head start on their preparation.
McDavid made a specific request to his teammates ahead of the camp:
"Let's be a bit more organized during our Captain's Skates. This way, we can ensure a productive month and hit the ground running."
A True Leader
The Oilers will begin training on September 5th, leaving them almost a month to prepare for the official training camp.
By having his teammates work out together a month before the camp, he ensures that his team will be ready by the start of the season.
Connor McDavid is a great captain who leads by example! It's only a matter of time before he brings the Stanley Cup back to Edmonton.
