Bedard First Ever 18-Year-Old to Score Twice in A Row Against the Defending Stanley Cup Champions
Connor Bedard will likely break many records during his NHL career, but he has captured his first during the Blackhawks game against the Golden Knights. His goal in the first period was his second against the Golden Knights in just the second game against them. This was the first time an 18-year-old had scored back-to-back against the previous year's Stanley Cup Champion.
Connor Bedard scored his second goal in as many meetings against the defending #StanleyCup champions – a feat never before achieved by an 18-year-old.
The goal came on a semi-breakaway as Bedard nearly one-timed a pass from Foligno to the bottom corner, displaying his crazy release and shot. The Knights had a funny quip about the Bedard goal, making fun of his age.

The pressure on Bedard has been immense, enough to cause any good player to crumble. I'm really grateful to be in the position I am and there's very few people that get that opportunity, get to be as lucky. I'm looking at it like that. I'm living out a dream and I feel very fortunate for that. But it is crazy and busy. I'm human too; I can get a little tired. But it's been good and I'm just enjoying it.» #Blackhawks
