The Vancouver Canucks have had a dissapointing season to say the least. After finishing last season at a 100 point pace under Bruce Boudreau, the Canucks started this season with one of the worst starts in NHL history and it started a downward spiral.
Bo Horvat was a Unrestricted Free Agent at the end of this season and the Canucks failed to offer him a contract he felt he deserved, which ultimately left no choice but to trade him, which in the end he ended up going to the New York Islanders in exchange for for a first round pick, Anthony Beauvillier, and prospect Aatu Raty.
Sine arriving in New York, Horvat has scored 7 goals and 15 points in 28 games, which is far below the 31 goals and 54 points in 49 games he had in Vancouver to start the year. But despite his lack of scoring, he is loving that his team is in contention for a playoff spot and takes a savage shot at his former team and the fan base:
It's a lot better than Vancouver, I'll tell you that for free.
