BREAKING: John Klingberg signs deal with Western Conference team
When free agency started back on July 13th, the top defenceman available in free agency was John Klingberg. After a bit of a falling out over term of a contract with the Dallas Stars, the two parted ways and Klingberg took his services to free agency.
It was to much surprise that 16 days later, Klingberg was still available, especially knowing how many teams are usually interested in a offensive right-handed shooting defenceman.
Klingberg put up 47 points in 74 games last season and has a career high of 67 points. If a team is looking for someone to run a powerplay and get the puck out of the zone quick, he is the man.
Klingberg was getting tired of being a free agent and fired his agent this past week, and it looks like his new representation was already able to find him a new deal.
