Former top-10 pick Nick Ritchie has been handed an eight-game suspension by the Finnish LIIGA for attacking a defenseless player.

Yesterday, forward Nick Ritchie did this in the Finnish LIIGA which resulted in a five-minute major and a game misconduct.

Today, it was announced that he would be getting an eight-game suspension for his actions.
Nick Ritchie has been suspended eight games by Liiga for punching a defenceless opponent in the head multiple times.
Ritchie was originally the 10th overall pick from the 2014 NHL draft by the Anaheim Ducks. He has been a journeyman for the majority of his career playing with Anaheim, Boston, Toronto, Arizona, and Calgary.
He was most recently on a PTO with the St. Louis Blues but did not receive a contract resulting in him going overseas to play in Finland.
