Once again we find ourselves writing about the 2022 waiver wire and how exciting it's been this year!
Yesterday we saw the LA Kings place who they thought was going to be their franchise goaltender to take over for
Jonathan Quick,
Cal Petersen get placed on waivers yesterday and clearing today. Petersen is in the first year of a new 3 year deal that is going to look very painful for the Kings if he spends all of it in the AHL.
Now today, the Philadelphia Flyers place a former first round pick on waivers.
Kieffer Bellows was placed on waivers earlier this season by the New York Islanders and then claimed by the Philadelphia Flyers.
After 11 games with the team and not registering a single point, the Flyers have decided he is not ready for the full time NHL roster.
Bellows was a highly ranked prospect which saw him get drafted 19th overall back in 2016, let's hope some time in the AHL will see him reujenvenate his career.
