Matvei Michkov has had a terrible couple of days and it continues to get worse.

Michkov Scratched Again

A couple of days ago, Matvei Michkov's KHL team, SKA St. Petersburg, played their first game of the regular season. He was scratched for the first game and fans were instantly worried about what this meant for his future.

Today, SKA will play their second game and Michkov is scratched once again.

Matvei Michkov is not SKA head coach Roman Rotenberg's lineup again today vs. Lada Togliotti. Remains a healthy scratch.

Ivanov (Mattsson)

First line: Nikishin, Sergeev - Tolchinsky, Galchenyuk, Khairullin

Second line: Sapego, Kamalov - Leipsic, Glotov, Alistrov

Third line: Pedan, M. Fedotov - I. Fedotov, Vorobyov, I. Demidov

Fourth line: Pashnin - Grebenshchikov, Kadeikin, Dedunov, Zinchenko (13th forward). #hcSKA

It should be noted that 2024 draft-eligible Ivan Demidov received a promotion to the third line so it is evident that SKA is willing to let young players play if they prove themself.

Michkov will have to watch today's game from the stands and will look to prove himself to his team and eventually earn his spot.
