When Erik Karlsson was traded to the San Jose Sharks and signed a massive 8 year contract, it quickly started to look like one of the worst contracts in the National Hockey League, as Karlsson was not preforming to his standards and that the Sharks have not made the playoffs since his new contract started.
This season however, everything has changed. Karlsson has been reborn and is scoring at a higher rate than he ever has in his career, currently with 18 goals and 76 points in 58 games.
With the San Jose Sharks fully committing to a rebuild, this unmovable looking contract is not very moveable, but the problem is, Karlsson has a full no move clause and gets to decide where he wants to go.
It's being reported that Karlsson is willing to waive his no trade clause for one team:
Having spent most of his career in a Canadian organization, Karlsson is not opposed to Canadian markets. Can you imagine the stats he can put up if he is feeding the puck to Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl?
The possibilities are INSANE!
