BREAKING: Buffalo Sabres about to acquire Goalie via TRADE

This offseason with the salary cap staying flat once again, a big thing is non-competitive teams looking to pick up bad contracts in exchange for picks and prospects.

The Buffalo Sabres are looking to acquire the contract of Dallas Stars goaltender Ben Bishop. This news was broken by NHL.com's Hockey insider Kevin Weekes.

Bishop hasn't played since the 2019-20 season due to injures, but this goaltending had solid career playing for multiple different teams but unfortunately has ''retired'' early and has been placed on long-term injury reserve by the Dallas Stars.

Capfriendly.com posted a funny comment regarding Ben Bishop:

Bishop has a Limited NTC where he can list 10 teams he cannot be traded to, and while he has essentially retired from hockey and therefore would likely not block a trade involving his contract, it's worth noting that if Buffalo was on his list that he'd still need to approve it.
