The Boston Bruins and Montreal Canadiens have a rivalry that dates back quite a long while and now more fuel is being added on after the Bruins head coach took a jab at the Canadiens GM.
Montgomery Fires A Shot At Hughes
Boston Bruins head coach Jim Montgomery and Montreal Canadiens GM Kent Hughes go back a long way. The two were teammates for the Cegep de Saint-Laurent Patriotes back in the 1980s and would go on to have solid careers.
In a recent interview, Montgomery took a little jab at Hughes when asked who was the better player.
"Oh even Kent would say it was me," - Jim Montgomery
Now, the two have gone on to have quite successful post-playing careers with Hughes being the Canadiens' GM after having a lengthy and successful career as a player agent while Montgomery has proven to be one of the very best coaches in all of hockey.
