It is with a heavy heart that we announce that we have lost another member of our hockey family, and at a far too young of age.
Saturday night, after battling cancer, Braydin Lewis who was only 19 years old, has passed away.
The young gdefenceman played for 3 seasons in the USHL playing for the Metro Jets, and developed into a promising young player. Last season he scored 9 goals and 45 points in 37 games.
This year he was limited to just 6 games due to his cancer, and still scored 3 goals and an assist.
The Metro Jets made the heart breaking announcement regarding the loss of their player:
It is with heavy hearts to share the news that our warrior, Braydin Lewis, lost his battle with cancer late last night with family by his side.
Lewey started with the Jets in 2020. The defenseman was a force to be reckoned with, was a fan favorite and beloved by everyone.
