We all know the Arizona Coyotes plan for next season is to play in the Arizona University arena which seats far lower than an NHL arena. Yesterday the AHL decided to announced the annual attendance average for each team and this is where things got more embarrassing for the Arizona Coyotes.
The Arizona Sun Devils arena has an estimated capacity of 4,700 and if the Coyotes manage to actually sell out these 4700 seats, it would rank them 16th at best among all AHL teams in attendance numbers.
For some reason the NHL is committed to trying to make the Arizona Coyotes a successful franchise, but if the new arena is not built in Tempe, how can this team afford to continue with less than 1/4 of the ticket revenue that other teams are bringing in.
Not only will the team continue to fail financially, but there will be absolutely no chance that players will want to sign in Arizona.
