It's become very clear that Jake DeBrusk is going to be traded. The player has asked for a fresh start and the team is trying to oblige, but now that the trade request has gone public it's like a ticking time bomb waiting to explode.
DeBrusk, 25, started off his career with a productive start notching back-to-back 40 point seasons, but it seems like the wheels fell off after he signed his two year bridge deal.
It was as if he was trying to live up to the deal, but last season he only put up 14 points in 41 games. This season isn't off to a much better start as DeBrusk only has 6 points in 17 games.
Now according to Nick Kypreos multiple teams have checked in on DeBrusk with the leading candidates being:
The Edmonton Oilers, Calgary Flames, Carolina Hurricanes and St. Louis Blues there are also reports that the Ottawa Senators had shown info in the last off season.
More teams are expected to reach out to the Bruins over the next 24 hours before a trade is worked out.
