Anton Khudobin
Cap Hit: $3,333,333
Seasons Remaining: 1
The Dallas Stars have already made it clear they're comfortable using Braden Holtby and Jake Oettinger as their goalie tandem and this has left Khudobin as the odd man out. The 35 year old career backup could be of assistance to a team if Dallas were willing to retain 50% of his salary. Khudobin's S% of .873 and 3.73 GAA will likely limit the Stars return, but this could be a simple case of moving cap space out.
Khudobin has been most recently linked to the Buffalo Sabres.
Joonas Korpisalo
Cap Hit: $2,800,000
Seasons Remaining: 0 UFA
The Blue Jackets had really high hopes for Korpisalo, but Elvis Merzlikins leapt over him on the depth chart and is currently signed for another 5 seasons after this one. With Columbus also having Daniil Tarasov in the system this pushes Korpisalo out the door.
The 27 year old Korpisalo has been linked to the Edmonton Oilers and could be a long-term option to replace Mikko Koskinen.
Alexandre Georgiev
Cap Hit: $2,425,000
Seasons Remaining: 0 RFA
The Rangers likely missed the boat to cash in on the hype that Georgiev had two seasons ago, but with Georgiev being a restricted free agent there is talk he could be included in a trade deadline trade as long as Igor Shesterkin is healthy. Georgiev in the past has been linked to Edmonton, Toronto and even Colorado in some capacity.
Georgiev did struggle to start the season but has seemed to have found his game since Shesterkin has gone down with injury.
Linus Ullmark
Cap Hit: $5,000,000
Seasons Remaining: 3
Probably the most surprising name on this list but Linus Ullmark hasn't worked out the way the Bruins had hoped and with rumours of Tuukka Rask returning shortly to the Bruins there have been rumours that the Bruins are shopping their off season acquisition. Ullmark has been outplayed by Jeremy Swayman to begin the season and like most goaltenders on our list has been connected most recently to the Edmonton Oilers.
Marc-Andre Fleury
Cap Hit: $7,000,000
Seasons Remaining: 0 UFA
Marc-Andre Fleury just won his 500th career game but conversations have already begun on whether or not he'd accept a trade out of Chicago. After being traded from Vegas to Chicago Fleury had to be convinced to play for the Blackhawks and with a 10 team no trade clause Fleury does have some power. With Fleury's $7,000,000 cap hit the Blackhawks are dealing from a position of weakness.
Fleury has most recently been linked to a potential return to the Pittsburgh Penguins where he began his career.
