Insider Frank Seravalli calls out the Vegas Golden Knights
The insider Frank Seravalli called out the Vegas Golden Knights about Mark Stone's injury.
For the second year in a row, Mark Stone is set to return in the last week of the NHL season, after spending months on the LTIR.
"Vegas Golden Knights captain Mark Stone cleared to resume practicing with team"
"Huge eye roll here. I've reported all along that the lacerated spleen is a legitimate, serious injury. There's been no shenanigans.
But man, Stone coming back to practice for second year in a row one week before playoffs is some seriously fortuitous timing."
While his injury was serious, many people believe the Golden Knights are using this as a strategy to cirvcumvent the salary cap.
In the past, both the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Golden Knights won a Stanley Cup that way.
However, the Golden Knights still need to qualify for the playoffs.
Stone, 31, played 56 games this season with the Golden Knights and tallied 53 points, including 16 goals.
More to come.
