Kyle Connor is currently absent from the Winnipeg Jets, but now Head Coach Scott Arniel has revealed the amazing reason why he's away from the team from practice on Thursday.
The Winnipeg Jets have shown no signs of slowing down in 2024/25, and with the team holding top spot in the Central Division and the Western Conference, they're a favourite coming into the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
However, there were some worries when it was revealed that Kyle Connor was absent from the team from practice on Thursday, with many fearing it could be injury related on the eve of the post-season.
Thankfully, on Thursday, Head Coach Scott Arniel gave some incredible news on Connor, revealing that his absence was for personal reasons in the most positive way possible.
According to Arniel, Connor's partner welcomed a healthy baby daughter recently, and he will now be away from the team for a short period to be with his partner and his newborn daughter.
It's unclear when he'll be back with the team, as he simply missed practice on Thursday and may not even miss a game, but given how big the Jets lead in the division currently is, fans would certainly understand if he were to miss a game or two.
For now though, we take this chance to say congratulations to Connor and his family as they welcome a healthy baby daughter into the world, the first with his partner Ally as he continues to have success both on and off the ice, and wish them and their new family all the health and happiness moving forward.
