NHL waiver wire today, with only one name being included in the latest round of players up for grabs.
The Washington Capitals have announced that they've placed veteran forward Sheldon Rempal on waivers, and he'll have 24 hours to either be claimed by one of the other 31 NHL teams or he'll otherwise be sent to the AHL's Hershey Bears, where he's already played 4 games this year.
Rempal is in his 1st year with the Capitals organization after signing a 1 year contract; he played last year in the KHL with Salavat Yulaev Ufa, where he had 61 points (31G, 30A) in 68 games played.
