Vegas Golden Knights Sign Key Player to Massive Long-Term Extension

The Golden Knights have agreed to a huge long-term contract extension with their goaltender Adin Hill, as he is locked up for the next six seasons.
Vegas Golden Knights General Manager Kelly McCrimmon made the announcement today that the Golden Knights have extended goaltender Adin Hill to a
six-year contract through the 2030-31 season, with a cap average of $6.25 million per year.
The 28-year-old
Hill has played in a career-high 39 games this season, compiling a 2.53 goals-against average, a .906 save percentage, and a 24-11-4 record. He recently saved all 27 shots for his fourth shutout this season, which is a career-high.
His 24 victories rank seventh in the NHL and set a high for his career that spans eight years. Hill has won five games over his past six starts with a 1.68 GAA and .940 save percentage.
A native of Comox, British Columbia, Hill has played 19 Stanley Cup Playoff games all for Vegas, earning 12 wins.
He played a major role in the Golden Knights' 2023 Stanley Cup championship, suiting up for the team's final 16 games and establishing the franchise save percentage record for goaltenders at .932.
Hill has numerous franchise records with his stellar numbers
His playoff GAA of 2.09 and .932 save percentage remain franchise records. Vegas signed Hill to an entry-level contract when they acquired him from San Jose in exchange for a fourth-round selection in the 2024 NHL Entry Draft.
He played for the Sharks (2021-22) and the Coyotes (2017-21), who selected him in the third round (76th overall) of the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.
