Mitch Marner is a player that Toronto Maple Leafs fans still have a bit of hatred for, especially in light of his decision to sign with the Las Vegas Golden Knights last season.
During the 2025-26 campaign, Mitch Marner found himself playing in the Stanley Cup Final, although his Golden Knights came up short against the Carolina Hurricanes.
Since that time, Marner has been working out, while also spending some time in his home country of Canada. In fact, he recently had a bit of a Maple Leafs reunion that is catching eyeballs.
Mitch Marner hangs out with Jake Muzzin and Kyle Clifford
On Friday, a photo surfaced online of Marner hanging out with Jake Muzzin and Kyle Clifford. Two former Maple Leafs teammates whom Marner praised just a couple of months ago.
They appeared to be coaching some kind of camp, which is a nice thing to do with your team in the offseason. Giving back to the community is something that always goes over well.
However, there are some trolls on Maple Leafs Twitter who cannot seem to let their grudge go when it comes to Marner. Instead, they would rather dunk on every single thing the man does.
Maple Leafs fans react
Below, you can find various reactions to the news that Marner met with Muzzin and Clifford. Some Leafs fans even made it seem as though this was worthy of mockery. Others stated that they don't care. They cared enough to comment on it, ironically.
For the average Toronto Maple Leafs fan, the Mitch Marner situation still stings quite a bit. However, at some point, you have to get over it and just move on.
Next season, Marner will be looking for that elusive Stanley Cup all over again.
