The Maple Leafs are looking to make some trades before the regular season, and now many are waiting for Brad Treliving to pull the trigger on a deal.

This off-season has been a busy one for the Toronto Maple Leafs, with the team losing Mitch Marner but adding the likes of Dakota Joshua, Nicolas Roy and Matias Macceli in the process.
Now, they've got a logjam of forwards as a result, with many expecting them to make a trade at some point, but as of right now, GM Brad Treliving hasn't been too aggressive in dealing with that situation.

Why Timing Could Make or Break Toronto's Next Big Move

Teams are now starting to begin training camp for the off-season, meaning that the time may now finally be right for Treliving to make a move, with teams looking to solidify their rosters for the upcoming season.
All around the NHL, things have been quiet, with teams looking to make additions growing more impatient and desperate, and as a result, Treliving could look to take advantage and get some good assets in returns for the pieces he wants to move.

Potential Trade Chips the Maple Leafs Could Leverage in 2025-26

Some of those trade chips in Toronto include Nick Robertson, Scott Laughton, Brandon Carlo and Bobby McMann, with Treliving having a big decision to make on which players he wants to move and which to retain.
Ultimately, the decisions that Treliving and the front office make between now and the regular season could be make or break, so keep a close eye on Toronto in the coming weeks as they prepare to make a big time move.
