Crushing update hits the Maple Leafs and starting goalie Anthony Stolarz

Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube delivered difficult news on the status of starting goaltender Anthony Stolarz, who hasn't played in a month now since getting hurt in November against the divisional foe Boston Bruins.
The Toronto Maple Leafs have not had goaltender Anthony Stolarz available to them for a month now, as he was hurt over a full 30 days ago during a game against the divisional foe Boston Bruins.
Recently, head coach Craig Berube said that Stolarz wasn't any closer to skating with the team, and he recently delivered another crushing update on his status.
When he was asked if the team planned to at least have Stolarz on the ice, Berube said that wasn't any closer to happening. The only potential silver lining is that he said he wasn't ready to say Stolarz was in danger of potentially missing the rest of the season.

So far this year in his second year in a Maple Leafs sweater, Stolarz had gone 6-5-1 with a subpar .884 SV% before getting hurt.
The Maple Leafs re-signed him to a four year contract with an AAV (average annual value) of $3.75 million.
The Maple Leafs Also Revealed That Defenseman Brandon Carlo Has Undergone Surgery
The injury to Stolarz is unfortunately one of many that the Maple Leafs are dealing with, as Berube recently revealed that defenseman Brandon Carlo has undergone surgery and that his timeline isn't known.
It's a good question. At some point, he will be able to get on the ice and skate, but I don't know that timeline right now. It depends on the healing process. - Craig Berube
The Maple Leafs also don't have defensemen Chris Tanev and Oliver Ekman-Larsson because of injuries.
