The Senators unfollowed 30 Instagram accounts, including Brady Tkachuk, Josh Norris, Jakob Chychrun and Vladimir Tarasenko, per NHL Follow Track.

The Ottawa Senators went on a full Instagram cleaning spree, and it was not subtle.
According to NHL Follow Track, the team account unfollowed 30 accounts, with Brady Tkachuk, Josh Norris, Jakob Chychrun and Vladimir Tarasenko all landing on the list.
It is hard to blame anyone for raising an eyebrow.
The list reads like a yearbook of names tied to the organization over the years, from stars to depth guys who barely stuck around.

Tkachuk headlines the list

Tkachuk is the name that jumps off the screen.
The former captain was traded to the Florida Panthers in June after asking out of Ottawa, and the team account unfollowed his wife Emma shortly after the deal went down.
Last Wednesday he returned to Canadian Tire Centre and scored for the Panthers, but fans booed him all night and the Sens rolled to a 5-1 win.
It has gone both ways, too.
Tkachuk unfollowed the Senators on Instagram earlier this month, right after Ottawa opened the season 2-0.
He is far from alone. Norris now plays for the Buffalo Sabres, Chychrun suits up for the Washington Capitals, and Korpisalo is with the New York Rangers.
Tarasenko and Alex DeBrincat both spent time in Ottawa too, and both made the cut.

What it all means

Follow lists rarely mean much on their own, and there has been no official word on why the club made these moves.
Still, the timing is tough to ignore with Tkachuk fresh off his return and the Sens coming off a dominant win.
Whether this was routine housekeeping or a message to the past, Ottawa looks done glancing backward.
The Sens are focused on what comes next, and for now their Instagram follow list says the same.
Fans on social media will keep digging, and more follow list changes would not be a shock.

Was the Senators' Instagram purge a message to the past?
