During a recent interview with the New York Post, Tkachuk spoke about the rumors and admitted that they have become a distraction to himself and the team.
Even still, Tkachuk re-committed to the team and confirmed he has no plans or intentions to leave any time soon.
Quite honestly, it's just getting frustrating. It's becoming a distraction. I have been fully committed to this team, to this city. It's just becoming frustrating to deal with. - Brady Tkachuk
With Tkachuk's commitment to the team, the Senators can now move forward and build upon their playoff berth in 2026.
Now, it will be up to GM Steve Staios to make it worth Tkachuk's time to stay in Ottawa and build a contender around him, Tim Stutzle, and Jake Sanderson.
As the offseason gets underway, it will be fun to see what moves the Senators can make.
