Brady Tkachuk Makes Emotional Statement Ahead of Crucial Game 6 in Ottawa
The Ottawa Senators have fought back against Toronto in the last two games, and now, captain Brady Tkachuk is getting emotional ahead of Game 6.
While many quickly counted the Ottawa Senators out in the Battle of Ontario after the Toronto Maple Leafs took a quick 3-0 series lead, over the last two games, momentum has shifted in dramatic fashion.
That has led us to a must-win Game 6 for the Senators at home on Thursday night, and ahead of the game, Brady Tkachuk has delivered an impassioned statement, calling for the crowd in Ottawa to bring the passion and the energy for the biggest game in the last few years for the team.
"This is not just about our team, it's about our city. You can feel the excitement and we're going to need it tonight."
After a slow start, it's Tkachuk that has put this team on his back in recent times, tallying a goal and 3 assists in the two victories in this series, and if they continue this momentum, they could push this series to a winner-take-all Game 7 in Toronto.
For now though, the team must pick up a win on Thursday after shutting out Toronto in Game 5 on the road, and now, the entire team is motivated and full of confidence, so perhaps for the last time in 2024/25, Tkachuk is calling for the home crowd to give them a major boost in this one.
Regardless of whether or not the Senators pick up a win here, this season has been a major step forward for the team, and with a great young core to build around, it's safe to say that if they do this right, there will be plenty more success to come in the future.
