The New York Rangers are off to a rough start, and after J.T. Millers latest comments, Rangers fans are furious at their brand new captain.

The 2024/25 campaign was a tough one for the New York Rangers, with the team ending the season 39-36-7, missing the Stanley Cup Playoffs despite entering the season as a favourite in the Metropolitan Division.
This year, their hopes were just as high, but through 14 games they are now sitting at 6-6-2, and after being shut out for the fourth time at home against the Carolina Hurricanes on Tuesday night, managing just 25 hits in another dreadful performance, tensions are clearly high.

J.T. Miller Getting Backlash For His Latest Comments

On Tuesday, the Rangers once again struggled for offense at Madison Square Garden, falling 3-0 to the Hurricanes at home, prompting captain J.T. Miller to make these comments;
It's not really cute anymore. It's been 14 games.
Obviously, losing games in the NHL is never 'cute', but given their lack of effort and their overall lack of of production offensively, these weren't the time for comments like this from the captain.
Unsurprisingly, fans on social media were quick to call Miller out, with many hoping they could turn last seasons struggles around, but to this point, it's not been like that at all, with frustrations clearly emerging.
There's still 68 games left in the season for the Rangers to turn things around, but if Miller sees losses piling up before Tuesday as 'cute' and something to be made into a joke, and if this continues, there's going to be some potential changes for yet another season.
