The Carolina Hurricanes have experienced numerous injuries to significant players, and NHL analyst Frank Seravalli hinted that they're looking to make trades.

There aren't many teams right now that are more banged up on the blue line than the Carolina Hurricanes, who have experienced numerous injuries to significant players.
Both Shayne Gostisbehere and K'Ande Miller are on the shelf with injuries, a major portion of their blue line. And up front, William Carrier is out.
Per a new report from NHL analyst Frank Seravalli, the Hurricanes are looking to make additions on the trade market and specifically mentioned Ty Emberson of the Edmonton Oilers as a possibility.
The Carolina Hurricanes are on the prowl in the trade market. They are looking for a defenseman and speaking of Ty Emberson, I mentioned stopgap defensemen, that's exactly the kind of style player the Carolina Hurricanes are looking for.

They've had significant injuries, I can't believe all the guys who have gone down in the Hurricanes lineup, specifically at their blue line, it's banged up. - Frank Seravalli

Frank Seravalli Also Talked About Carolina's Goaltending

The Hurricanes have gotten good contributions out of goaltender Brandon Bussi, who was third on the depth chart behind Frederik Andersen and Pyotr Kochetkov. After Kochetkov went down with injury, Bussi stepped in nicely.
But now that Kochetkov has been activated, Seravalli said the Hurricanes may not want to let him go, especially given Andersen's tendency to get hurt at various points during a given season.
One other note to keep in mind with Carolina, they have an interesting situation brewing with Brandon Bussi, speaking of injuries, coming up in relief for Pyotr Kochetkov. He's come in and given them some nice efforts....with Kochetkov being activated, I don't think Carolina wants to just throw Bussi back on waivers and allow someone else to claim a really valuable third goalie.

So far, the Hurricanes have managed to stay in third place in the Metropolitan Division despite the numerous injuries.

Do the Hurricanes need to make a trade with their top two defensemen out?
