last night and he has now been punished by the NHL DoPS for his hit.
During the first period of the Nashville Predators' loss to the Vancouver Canucks Michael McCarron laid this massive hit on Casey DeSmith.

DeSmith looks no worse for the wear.
Just now, the NHL Department of Player Safety announced they have fined McCarron $2,000 for this hit.

Nashville's Michael McCarron has been fined $2,000 for goalie interference on Vancouver's Casey DeSmith.
It seems like both McCarron and DeSmith will be available for their game four matchup where the Predators will look to tie the series back up at two.
