The NHL off-season is usually a busy, but relaxing time for players, but now, it appears Jake Evans won't be relaxing much after announcing his partner had twins.
This off-season has been rather quiet around the National Hockey League, with fans waiting for the chaotic time and blockbuster moves that insiders around the league promised heading into the summer.
Unfortunately, that simply hasn't happened, and with training camp right around the corner, the long, boring summer appears to be coming to an end for fans, with players excited to get going once more as the chase for the Stanley Cup begins once again.
Jake Evans has anything but a quiet summer
For most players, the summer isn't quiet, as they use the opportunity of time away from hockey to focus on weddings, relaxing, vacationing and other things they may not get to do during the season.
However, for Jake Evans, relaxing isn't going to be easy moving forward, as the Canadiens veteran has made a shocking announcement on social media, revealing that his partner successfully birthed fully healthy twins.
Obviously, congratulations are in order for the happy couple, as the two appear to be overjoyed at the birth of healthy children, with the NHL world shocked over the announcement of twins for the 29-year old forward.
This announcement comes just weeks before he is set to rejoin the Canadiens for training camp ahead of the 2025/26 season, with the team hoping to take another step forward after a hugely successful 2024/25 campaign that saw them make the Stanley Cup Playoffs, and with his new dad strength, Evans will be hoping to build on a career high of 36 points from a season ago.
