The Montreal Canadiens made a last-minute call-up after announcing three injuries ahead of tonight's game against the New York Rangers.

The Canadiens have started their season on a high note, winning four straight games after losing the season opener against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
The team is tied with the Detroit Red Wings at the top of the Atlantic Division, for now, with eight points in five games.
Ahead of tonight's game against the New York Rangers at the Bell Centre, the organization released a massive injury update.

Montreal Canadiens Announce Three Injuries, Call Up Prospect From Laval Rocket

In an official statement released on social media on Saturday morning, the Canadiens announced that Kaiden Guhle will be sidelined for four to six weeks, while Patrick Laine and Kirby Dach are day-to-day with lower-body injuries.
The organization also confirmed that they have called up Owen Beck from the Laval Rocket in an emergency recall.
Read the full details here:
Dach and Laine have both been widely affected by injuries in recent years, and it's not surprising to see them out of the lineup, especially in Dach's case.
The team even planned it: he wouldn't take part in all games this season after his injuries.
As for Guhle, the player was injured Thursday night against the Nashville Predators, and his long-term absence will hurt the team's blue line.
The Habs have great defensive depth, but Guhle played a big role on and off the ice: he won't be easily replaceable.
Tonight's game against the New York Rangers will be interesting to watch. The Habs President of Hockey Operations Jeff Gorton will likely look forward to beating his former team.
As for the Rangers, the team will be hungry for victory after losing its last three starts and will come out strong in Montreal.
