After constant rumours and potential moves for Marc-Andre Fleury, we now officially know the fate of the legendary goaltender.
Minnesota Wild to keep Marc-Andre Fleury
Despite it seeming likely that he would be on the move once more, Elliotte Friedman, renowned NHL Insider has now revealed that Minnesota won't be trading their veteran star.
One important development as we head towards the trade deadline: Minnesota has indicated it will not move Marc-Andre Fleury. They are happy to keep him.
The Wild currently sit six points behind the final Wild Card spot in the Western Conference, but by keeping Fleury it appears that they are still looking to make a major playoff push.
In his age-39 season, the veteran goaltender has put up solid numbers in 29 games with a 2.92 GAA and an .899 save percentage, and while the return could have been solid for the Wild, they'll hold onto him for now.
